Kestrel Listen is built and run by the community that uses it β no subscriptions,
no ads, just volunteers sharing what their own receivers hear. Every node is
independently owned and operated, linked into a resilient, decentralised network
with no single point of failure.
Getting started is simple: an RTL-SDR or HackRF and a Raspberry Pi is enough to
add your own sensor and start contributing in under an hour. Read
how it works for what hardware you need and what
happens after you register.
Already listening across Air, Sea and Land β
Space is next. Join us, experiment, and help build what's coming.
The same network also feeds into Madrock Sensor Fabric's
GNSS jamming and spoofing detection -- when something's found, an indicator appears on the Globe view below.

GNSS interference & spoofing detection
The pulsing rings mark real-time GNSS interference and spoofing events,
detected by our partner Madrock Sensor
Fabric and shown here as location and severity only β no receiver or
station identity is ever included.
Shows confirmed spoofing only. MSF's own operator
tools also track unconfirmed constellation anomalies, so their internal
map may show more events than appear here.

Band conditions (BOM space weather)

Digital-mode spots (FT8/FT4)
Arcs connect a receiving station to a heard station's own
self-reported grid square (from that station's CQ transmission) --
built entirely from decodes across the fleet, no third-party
reporting service involved.
Live
Frequency & activity legend
Arc colour on the globe follows frequency band, red (lowest) through
violet (highest) -- the same scale for both our own decode arcs above
and the external PSK Reporter arcs below, so band is readable at a
glance regardless of source. The checkboxes below double as the
colour key -- each one's swatch shows that band's real colour, so a
separate static legend would only repeat the same information.
Hover any arc for the exact band, mode, and
station callsigns.
External: PSK Reporter (HF spots)
Additional real-time HF activity from PSK Reporter, a third-party
community reporting network -- shown as arcs coloured by band (same
legend above), always labelled "External (PSK Reporter)" on hover so
it's never mistaken for our own fleet's decodes just above.
Live
External: lightning (Blitzortung)
Pale-blue rings mark real lightning strikes from Blitzortung.org, a
global community VLF detection network -- a genuine, independent
natural-cause signal, entirely separate from the GNSS interference/
spoofing rings above.
